The first step while taking measurement of the slip cover is to remove the entire loose sheet and back cushions. If the existing cushions have become slashed off then measure over top of them. Frame of the furniture should also be measured. Take the measurement of the original arm cap. For the complete measurement take the measurement from left to right. This will determine the need of cover size and the amount that is required for stitching the slip cover. Take the measurement from the highest point till the down. Also measure from back floor till upwards. The measurement from the back seat till the front floor. Trace the actual arm size to make an original arm cap. In case the user is providing the tailor with his own fabric then the fabric must be wider by atleast fifty four inches. The fabric should be with the polycot ton blend.
